After many votes it has been requested that I post a little bit more about myself! A get to know me if you will. I am married to a wonderful, supportive man who has the most patience especially helping me put my spa together. He has a wonderful son I'm proud to call my step son! He has also been a shining light in my life that has loved and supported my idea to open my own day spa. After many years of not being quite sure of my passion I decided I wanted to make a change and stop the dead end jobs for a career I would love. I started researching various careers starting with the medical field as there is always a need for those careers. I contemplated nursing, or a pharmacy tech which all sounded great, but there was just one thing. It wasn't me. I didn't feel satisfied or happy. I remember talking to my mom about what I should go in to. She mentioned a hair stylist. Now while I am a dedicated client to getting my hair done, I didnt think that would be my thing. As I researched cosmetology I did come across a Master Esthetician otherwise known as a "skin care therapist." This career did intrigue me. I have always loved makeup, and looking my best! I also didn't know a thing about skin care routines, facials, chemical peels, etc. I desperately wanted to know and learn everything I could. I enrolled in Nima (National Institute of Medical Asthetics) formerly known as Elase Academy. The name changed as I was attending. I learned everything you could imagine regarding skin care, not just the treatments for various skin conditions and concerns, but also the different layers of the skin. There was not one day I was bored, or uninterested. Everything was interesting and exciting! I loved all of it including the practical trainings, and treatments on various clients. I graduated with my Master Esthetic license! In my opinion I went to one of the best schools in Utah let alone the U.S. I have been practicing esthetics for about three years now. I am excited and ready to open my own day spa. This was always a dream of mine while attending school. I love being pampered, and pampering others! This is something I never realized until being in school for this. I love making others feel great about themselves, and giving everybody an opportunity to just take a break even if it's only for an hour! I have a major passion for skin care. I can't wait to show all of you the exciting and wonderful world of esthetics! I hope all of you enjoy my day spa as much as I do and are excited for the things to come!
